Show gardens are a wonderful way to showcase our skills and provide an opportunity to create instant gardens and explore new ideas and styles. It is also nice to gain some recognition for the hard work that is needed to create beautiful outdoor spaces.
We have explored contemporary, cottage, formal and fun garden themes that can then be replicated into customer’s gardens. Winning two Gold Medals is a reward for all the hard work required to produce an instant show garden, and a recognition that other designers, and the industry in general, recognise the quality of our work.
In addition, winning the Peoples Choice Award twice indicates just how much the show visitors enjoyed our garden creation and voted for the garden.
The Contemporary garden was called Moor View and had granite steps interspersed with water, and some planting on either side of purple, blue and white hydrangeas, providing a walk up to the seating area and focal point at the back of the garden. The small area is enhanced by the high quality fencing.
Made with recycled materials, reusing wood for paths and the seating area and old pipes for hanging the cups provided a backdrop for the cottage garden herbaceous perennials, that fill the space. The cottage garden is enhanced with expected cottage favourites of Achillea, Echinacea and Salvia, and of course Roses, that provide a yellow and blue cottage garden delight.
Lewis Carol sculptures provided by James Coplestone, enhance the amusing fun of this Mad Hatters garden. It is a beautiful garden incorporating the White Rabbit running through the colourful perennials, and Alice standing underneath the multi-stemmed trees and spheres. The seating area contains a table and a teapot and the white picket fence edges the whole design.
