This garden was transformed from a dull new build garden into this beautiful space for entertaining and relaxing, creating a feel of being surrounded by plants but still keeping the function needed within a small space.
There is built in weatherproof muti-functional seating ideal for those warm Spring, Summer and Autumn days when the fire pit can be put to good use for outside cooking.
Whilst sitting enjoying a gentle evening there is the sound of water running along and down the rill into two large water tanks, providing the soothing sounds of nature. These tanks provide reflection of clouds, sky and sun and a welcome drink for birds, butterflies and insects that come into feed on the rich mixture of food on the plants and trees.
In one area is a contemporary Fern sculpture, and a hanging net seat under the shade of a pergola, with Ferns, Hostas and shady plants. In another space a small lawn with the sweet smell of grass, and some beautiful pleached pear trees providing bright thick blossom in Spring. In yet another area is a small lawn and a silver birch next to raised beds containing blue iris, with room for sitting and children’s play. This garden packs a punch in every corner.
