A lovely little courtyard garden on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon. This tricky space has been transformed from an unusable shady sloping garden to a tranquil and peaceful space with raised patios, ideal for relaxation, stepping stones to skip across and with water features containing, water plants, pond skaters, frogs, newts and May flies.
The shady area allows the use of lush foliage including Ferns, Hostas and other beautiful shade loving plants that grow well and flower in the small shady spaces.
The different use of paving and gravel give an interesting contrast of colour and provide a tranquil peaceful place for chairs and tables, for outside barbecuing and for quiet restfulness so nice and cool on a hot Summers day.
